What to Wear on a Teen Adventure Trip?

Wednesday, December 01, 2021

When your teen registers for adventure camp, there is so much to which they can look forward to. The anticipation builds from the moment you register to the day they begin packing their bags. They can’t wait to experience camp, see God’s creation, and make new friends.

While all the excitement and buzz may be attributed to the camp itself, preparation is among the primary benefits of the overall experience.

Leave It Better Than You Found It

I’ll never forget the time I gave the keys of my house to my sister while I was away in Alaska for the summer. I was gone for three months and my sister, Jennifer was going to keep an eye on things for me. The moment I stepped into the house I was shocked!

There was no trace of my sister, or her belongings, and the house looked better than I had ever seen it before. The floors were spotless, the tables were dusted, and the house smelled clean.

Not only did she take the time to clean up after herself, but she left the house better than she found it. Wouldn’t it be nice if we practiced this same principle to the trails we hike, and the places we camp?

Do you wish you could convince your teen to put away their phone and go outside? At the same time, do you fret over whether they will learn vital skills and life lessons before they graduate high school? Adventure Camp is the perfect way to ensure your child can take a break from living inside with technology, experience the great outdoors, and develop the abilities that will stay with them for a lifetime.

In this article, we are discussing some of the ways children and teenagers learn and master lifelong skills through Adventure Camp.

Last month we announced our Teen Adventure Trips schedule for 2022. Our adventure trips provide teenagers with the opportunity to connect with nature and see the world. That’s not all it’s about for the team at Created for Adventure:

“Our trips are more than adventure travel. We believe now more than ever our teenagers need time away from their daily distractions and need to spend more time in God's beautiful creation.”

For parents and students who are wondering what teens can learn on an adventure trip, we want to answer your questions. Here are five valuable lessons you can learn with Created for Adventure.
