Our family had an amazing adventure together in the Grand Teton National Park. If you plan to travel to the Tetons you won’t regret camping at the Jenny Lake Campground!
Jenny Lake in the Grand Teton National Park has one of the most beautiful, quiet and secluded campgrounds that you’ll find in a National Park. The sites are spread out nicely and have stellar views of the Tetons and are loaded with sunshine, or are tucked away in a densely wooded area.

The Jenny Lake campground is small (with only 49 sites) and is for tent camping-only. There are a couple of sites designated for walk-up hikers and bikers only (with no vehicles allowed).
RV sites are available at Colter Bay, Signal Mountain and Gros Ventre. There are also some available spots to make a reservation for your RV at Colter Bay.
If you are feeling adventurous, there are short, easy trails connected from the campground to Jenny lake that you can use for walking or biking. Don’t miss a gorgeous sunset at Jenny lake! You can also easily access the boat shuttle which takes you across the lake for great hiking to waterfalls, canyons and vistas.
You can now make reservations at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
- Make your reservation on Recreation.gov to reserve a campsite at Jenny Lake Campground. Each site costs $49 per night. You can make your reservation 6 months before your arrival date at 8am Mountain Time.
- Take a look at the campground map before you make your reservation! We chose #25 because it was very secluded with a large, densely wooded area (perfect for our Enos and for three boys to explore). Campsites #46-48 have the best views of the mountains but are close to the road and entrance to the campground (where the dumpsters are). These sites had lovely views but we chose the quieter and more secluded option. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and bear box.
- The campground also has showers and bathrooms. You’ll just need to pay the camp host (cash) to get access to the showers!
This campground has active wildlife! Bears wander around the site frequently (see our photo below)! Be prepared with bear spray and always remember to lock up your food, trash, etc in your bear box at night. If you see any bear activity at camp be sure to notify your camp host immediatly.
