Hawaii!! Where do I start?? Every single bit of it was amazing. There are so many things I could recount, so many precious memories I made. I could talk about loading our plates at the luau’s buffet or constantly visiting and falling in love with the Sunrise Shack smoothies and atmosphere, and so, so, many other unique experiences. However, Created for Adventure was so much more than some pretty pictures to post on Instagram.

One of the many things I loved about the trip was waking up each morning to an absolutely stunning sunrise. My morning routine would be to wake up, immediately head out to the beach with a book and camera in hand, and plop down in the middle of the sand. I would usually spend the first five minutes admiring the sunrise that God gave us that day and walk through the water for a minute, then read my book until others started waking up. Some mornings, a couple of friends would join me and read with me as well, and it was an absolutely magical experience.

I remember doing our Bible devos in the morning, and every single day I would do it sitting on the beach. The first morning, I had just finished my devotion and some Bible journaling, and I looked up, and there was a rainbow!! There had been one earlier that morning too, but this time I was the only one on the beach. I gathered my Bible and devo journal, then ran up to the tentalos where everyone else was and called out that there was a rainbow, but by the time I grabbed my camera and got back to the beach, it was gone. After that, I felt like God put it there as a sign that it would be a great, amazing week.

The whole trip was just beautiful, and I felt really connected to God and my friends, new and old! From ziplining to cliff jumping to breathtaking hikes, it was an amazing, gorgeous trip that I can safely say that I will never forget. I have so many core memories connected to Hawaii and Created For Adventure now. If you’re thinking about going on this trip, please, please do!! I HIGHLY recommend it, and you will not regret it one bit! It really strengthened my faith and was the highlight of my summer and really, this whole year.
